Organising a hen party can be daunting! We are therefore pleased to provide you with a bunch of Top Hen Tips to help your hen party go more smoothly... |

1. Put yourself in the bride's shoes |
If you are organising a hen party on behalf of a friend or sister, remember that it is not YOUR hen party. In other words just because you love the idea of roughing it in on a camp site and fishing for your supper, it doesn't mean that is what the bride to be would choose! You will get your turn in good time so make sure that you include things that the bride is going to love too. If you are unsure what to do why not let us help with our Hen Party Planning service? |
| 2. Be realistic |
Hen parties are exciting things and when planning them it is easy to get carried away. So many places to go, so many things to do! However, you have to be realistic. If you only have a night or a weekend, you might not be able to fit a week's worth of stuff into it. Your budget might not allow it all either. Hen parties are about being together with your best loved hens, so make sure that you leave some time for a catch up too. Check out our Hen Party Actvities for a range of activities to suit any budget. |
| 3. Money money money! |
A lot of hens find that one of the most stressful part of the organising is sorting out the money. No one likes asking for money and it can be hard to keep track of who has paid what. We suggest that you have an agreed budget from the outset. Make it clear from the beginning what that budget includes and doesn't include so that the hens can save up. Think about collecting the money in installments to make it easier for people to pay and remember to give a bit of warning and a couple of reminders as busy people have other things to remember too! |
| 4. It's a hen party! |
No this is not an insult to your intelligence. What we mean is that this is not any old party, it is a hen party and most of us only get one. So make it all about the bride and her hubby to be. You can do this in lots of simple ways. Make the games all have an element to do with the bride. Make a scrap book with each hen doing a page. Arrange lots of little surprises for the lucky lady e.g. messages from any hens that can't make it to be read out during the party. And just generally remember that the bride to be is the queen of hens. |
